Vertical Camp at Burning Man was our original Third Place where we experimented with an incubator that provides emerging artists with meals camp infrastructure, and support to build big. Vertical Camp has been home to major artworks: Trojan Hose 2011, Black Burner Project Black Asé 2022 and 2024, and Farmer the Rigger 2023.
COVEN focuses on Third Places ‘beyond the fence’ in order to better serve our ecosystem of artists year-round, with a network of diverse hubs in the Bay Area.
